We played another tough game today. Team captain Trey and co-captain Evan started out as forwards. Early on, both Evan and Ryan made some goal attempts. Meanwhile Shane showed us his skills as keeper. Kaelan sustained a leg injury midway through the first quarter and Ryan came in for him.
Shane and Casey drove the ball in as forwards during the second quarter. As fullback, Jeremy had a great defensive play that stopped one of the opposing team's scoring attempts. Later the other team brought the ball up to score.
In the third quarter, Keaton took a hard blast to his body but stayed in the game. Ryan drove the ball all the way in, with the help of Pohaku, Keaton and Jeremy.
In the fourth quarter, Trey replaced Ryan as forward because Ryan wanted to play defense. Kaelan drove the ball in to score our only goal of the game. Meanwhile Ryan and Pohaku played a strong defense, and Jeremy had some great stops. Evan made several attempts to score. Trey was injured towards the end of the game, having taken some hits to the body, leg, and head. But Trey got focused and drove the ball straight in, before I felt like he should come out because of his injuries. Keaton went back in for Trey for a minute before the end of the game.
Despite losing, the kids had another great game! Go Extreme!!
Thanks to the Lamppert family for bringing the snacks, and to B.J. Huddy and Bruce Lamppert for taking team pics!
